What is Dua/Prayer

  • Allah created us for “worship” and dua is a form of worship

  • A dua/supplication is “asking God for something”

  • Dua is the way you connect/communicate with Allah

  • But there is no set form/language: Can be done anytime/anywhere

16

Open Ended

What do you think is the importance of Dua/Prayer?

17

Importance of dua and how to make it?

  • Allah puts a lot of emphasis on dua in Quran and wants us to remember Him all

    times through various supplications

  • Continuous dua: When you ask someone for something repeatedly, they get angry. But Allah wants us to repeat duas.

18

Are all duas accepted?

  • To answer is one thing, to accept is something quite different. Every

supplication is answered, but its being accepted is dependent on Almighty God's wisdom

19

Best occasions for dua/prayer:

  • Before/after eating

  • After daily prayers

  • During travels

  • When you are sick

  • During rains

  • During special times (Eid, Before Eid, Fridays, etc.)

  • Dua is always precious at any occasion!

20

Our Prophet’s sensitivity on Salat

  • Last prophet revealing the perfect form of faith and religion

  • Salat is a gift from Allah

  • Salat is mentioned interchangeable e with Faith (iman) in Qur’an

  • Salat is comprehensive worship

  • Salat connects us with Allah at least 5 times a day

21

Passion of our Prophet about Salat

  • Daily Farz (compulsory) prayers

  • Daily Nafile (extra) prayer

22

Reason for devotion and concertation (Hushu)

  • Being thankful to Allah for all the blessings

  • Ihsan, being conscious that Allah sees us all the time

23

Our Salat and how can we make it better

  • Fulfil the duty

  • Protects from committing sins

  • Take to the level of Mi’rac

  • Do not say “my prayers are not good at all, they have the seed of perfection”
