Particle Theory overview
We know that all matter is made up of particles and we can use this to explain the properties of solids liquids and gases.
Particle arrangement in solid's are really close together, in liquids they have more room between them and in gases they are more freely moving and further apart.
More energy = More movement of these particles, more room between particles.
Less Energy = Less movement of these particles, less room between particles.
Heat is one thing which can greatly increase the energy in any substance.
