Those people who do not believe in Allah SWT or Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam

This Surah is called Al Kaafiroon because it was revealed about the disbelievers

Surah Al Kaafiroon

• Surah Al Ikhlaas & Surah Al Kaafiroon are both known as Al Ikhlaasayn (Both teach the lesson of Tawheed, the Oneness of Allah swt)

• The prophet (S) loved these two surahs very much

• The Prophet (S) would read these surahs in the Fajr Sunnah prayers

• In the FIRST rakaat He would recite Surah Al Kaafiroon

• In the SECOND rakaat He would recite Surah Al Ikhlaas

• The Prophet (S) would also read these two surahs in the Maghrib sunnah prayers.

• Also in the last two rakaats of the Witr prayer

1 - Say "O disbelievers"

2 - "I do not worship what you worship"

3 - "Nor will you worship what I worship"

4 - "Nor will I worship what you worship"

5 - "Nor do you worship what I worship"

6 - "For you is your religion and for me is my religion"

Why was this surah Revealed ?

• The disbelievers realised that they couldnt stop islaam from spreading, they made an offer to the Prophet (S) They said if He stopped spreading Islaam, they would give him alot of wealth that would make him a very rich man.

• But the Prophet (S) could not stop this because He was the Messenger of Allah swt and His job was to share the message to others.

• So the Prophet refused.

What happened next?

The disbelievers then said to the Prophet (S) that if He stopped spreading Islaam, then He would be able to marry the most beautiful women in Makkah

Once again the Prophet (S) rejected their offer.

Finally....

They said they will accept Allah swt as their God for one year only If the prophet (S) worships their idols for one whole year.

Allah SWT Sent Surah Al Kaafiroon as an answer to all their offers...
