What does "climate" means?

Climate is

• the weather conditions prevailing in an area in general or over a long period.

• Not the weather everyday but the yearly average.

• For example, in Thailand, the climate is tropical. It is dry and very hot from March to June. There is a rainy season from June to November where it pours many days. Then, it is cool for the rest of the year.

What kind of climate does the Bay Area have?

• It has a tropical climate; mostly hot but it does pour in selected times a year.

• Today it is sunny.

• It is warm and dry in the summer. (It barely rains, so many fires). In the winter time, it rains and is quite cold.

• It is really hot in the mid-day and cool at night. It barely rains all year round.

Bay Area's climate:

• similar to coastal areas on the Mediterranean

• From Nov - March: Wet season (This is where the annual rainfall pours)

• From April to Nov: Dry season (It does not rain very much doing this time. Because it is dry, there are a lot of fires. )
