PRESENT PERFECT OR PAST SIMPLE?

PRESENT PERFECT.

We use it to talk about past actions. But we don't mention exactly when they happened. We can use "ever" for questions or "never" for negatives.


To form it we use:

have/has + (never/ever) + the verb in P.P.

Past Simple

Use past simple when you mention WHEN the action happened. We can use time phrases like "yesterday, this (morning, night), last (week, month), (two years, a day) ago, in (1999), etc"


REMEMBER: For past simple we use DID as an auxiliar (for negatives and questions) or the verb in Past Simple for affirmatives.
