This is a photo essay written by a journalist called Jason Johnson who visited a festival in Thailand.

In November I visited the Phra Prang Sam Yod temple in Thailand.

I was there to see the Monkey Buffet Festival.

The festival celebrates the long-tailed macaque monkeys of the island.

The locals offer tables full of fruits and vegetables for the monkeys to eat.

I arrived early and watched the monkeys arrive and start eating. There were so many! Where did they all come from?

There were people from Europe, South and North Americas, and all of them loved taking photos with the monkeys!
