A Little Restart
I know you guys are having trouble understanding, and some of you are new. So, you don't know what they are. We are taking the quiz on Friday so be sure to listen up as it's already Tuesday! I know Friday is also Fun Friday and we will still have it, but we will have to take the first period to do this If we can't listen, or try our best on this quiz, Fun Friday will be canceled.
3
Lesson Explained
I want you all to have fun with this, but before we can do that you have to listen to this short lesson. Soon as we finish this lesson we can start with fun games!
4
What Does a Radical Include?
Symbol
Radicand
It may also include a square root but this isn't always included in an expression.
5
This shows where and what the radical includes.
The second problem where I point to the square root with the sharpie.
6
16 Divided by 2 = 8?
Yes, 16 divided by 2 is 8, so why is the answer 4? How did we get to 4?
7
Open Ended
How did I get the answer of 2? Give your best guess, it doesn't have to be right!
8
Simplifying
Now I just gave you a question but keep thinking about it, we are going to talk about simplifying, and then square roots. Then by the end of the question we can figure out that problem. That's our end of lesson goal alright?
9
Simplifying
We are going to talk about simplifying radicals with out a square root! First of a simple one! 9. It would be 3, why?
So for small numbers we can just think about it to solve it fast!
9 Hmm, what do you multiply to get that, 3 * 3!
What about 20, you would get 4 * 5, which number do you put now?
Hmm, lets watch a short video to explain!

Copy this, I had to shrink it a bit, I also posted it in the Dizzy if it's easier!

We will be doing more on here tomorrow but it won't be a lesson!
Be sure to bring your A Game tomorrow, as remember we will be picking a Star Student on Friday for special perms!
