Words that describe other nouns or pronouns.

They describe the quality as well as the feelings of the nouns or pronouns.

adjectives can be found in 3 forms

• Positive : big, sad, short, hardworking

• Comparative : bigger, sadder, shorter, more hardworking

• Superlative : biggest, saddest, shortest, most hardworking

Some nouns are also used as adjectives

• These nouns are called as adjectival nouns or noun modifiers.

• Examples: sports car, race car, ladies room, Independence Day, rock wall, car engine.
