Some facts about South Africa
South Africa is a country in the South part of the African continent. There are two oficial languages in this country, English and Afrikaans. Afrikaans is a mixture of diferente languages: Portuguese, French and the Bantu Languages. But dutch (holandês) is the mother language of Afrikaans.

Different from other countries, there isn’t a capital city. There are three! They are Pretoria (the administrative capital), Bloemfontein (the judicial capital) and Cape Town (the legislative capital). The Afrikaan culture is diverse. There is a variety of food, music and dance. This country is also an important wine producer because there are some excellent vineyards there.

On the sports field, there are three popular sports: soccer, rugby and cricket. A nice place to visit is Kruger National Park. During a safari in the park it’s possible to see many big animals. There are lions, zebras, giraffes and rhinos in this park.
