Types of Feet

• Foot - a unit of measure in a metrical line of poetry

• Spondee - a foot consisting of two stressed syllables. Called 'spondaic'

• Trochee - a foot consisting of one stressed syllable followed by one unstressed syllable. Called 'trochaic'
