OBJECTIVES

  • LEARNING MAJOR ORGANS

  • HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

  • HOW TO HAVE A HEALTHY BODY

  • DESCRIBE MAJOR ORGANS AND THEIR DISEASES

3

OUR MAJOR ORGANS

the main organs inside the body, such as the heart, lungs, and brain, that are necessary for life.

4

THE BRAIN

The three parts of our brain is

cerebrum, cerebellum, brainstem

5

THE CEREBRUM

The cerebrum is the uppermost part of the brain. It contains two hemispheres split by a central fissure. The cerebrum itself contains the major lobes of the brain and is responsible for receiving and giving meaning to information from the sense organs, as well as controlling the body.

6

THE CEREBELLUM

The cerebellum (which is Latin for “little brain”) is a major structure of the hindbrain that is located near the brainstem. This part of the brain is responsible for coordinating voluntary movements. It is also responsible for a number of functions including motor skills such as balance, coordination, and posture.

7

THE BRAINSTEM

The brainstem (brain stem) is the distal part of the brain that is made up of the midbrain, pons, and medulla oblongata. Each of the three components has its own unique structure and function. Together, they help to regulate breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, and several other important functions.

8

Now You Know what are the three parts of a brain now let's dig deeper into our discussion!

9

The Spinal Cord

The spinal cord is a long, fragile tubelike structure that begins at the end of the brain stem and continues down almost to the bottom of the spineThe spinal cord consists of nerves that carry incoming and outgoing messages between the brain and the rest of the body.

10

THE TEMPORAL LOBE

a large lobe of each cerebral hemisphere that is situated in front of the occipital lobe and contains a sensory area associated with the organ of hearing.

11

THE OCCIPITAL LOBE

The occipital lobe is one of the four major lobes of the cerebral cortex in the brain of mammals. The occipital lobe is the visual processing center of the mammalian brain containing most of the anatomical region of the visual cortex. The primary visual cortex is Brodmann area 17, commonly called V1 (visual one).

12

HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

healthy lifestyle is one which helps to keep and improve people's health and well-being. Many governments and non-governmental organizations work at promoting healthy lifestyles. They measure the benefits with critical health numbers, including weight, blood sugar, blood pressure, and blood cholesterol.
