Concept
Narrative text is writing that tells a story. A character is a person, animal, or other being in a story. Ending is how the story ends and why it ends the way it does. Plot is the events in a story. Setting is the time and place of events in a story. Strategic readers recognize and understand the elements of narrative text, which enhances comprehension and supports story recall.
