Key terms
Alliteration: repeated letters at the beginning of a word
Simile- a figure of speech that directly compares two things! Similes differ from metaphors by highlighting the similarities between two things using words such as "like" or "as"
Metaphors- a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable.
Rhyme scheme-the ordered pattern of rhymes at the ends of the lines of a poem or verse.
Onomatopoeia- when the words being used mimic the sounds it is describing (ex: ring)
