Subject-Verb-Agreement
Basic Grammar Rules

2
A singular subject takes a singular verb and a plural subject takes a plural verb.
Use the rule of
1) Superman's Spender (Singular Subject + Singular Verb)
2) Power Rangers cannot fit in 1 Spender (Plural Subject cannot be with Singular Verb; drop the 'S')
3
# Rule 1 : A subject will come before a phrase beginning with of. This is a key rule for understanding subjects. The word of is the culprit in many, perhaps most,subject-verb mistakes.
wrong : A group of boys go fishing in the river near the village.
correct : A groupof boys goes fishing in the rivernear the village. (group goes, not boys go)
4
# Rule 2 : Two singular subjects connected by or, either/or, or neither/nor require singular verb.
correct : or -> My aunt or my uncle is arriving by train today.
correct : either..or -> Either Fazirul or Syahbi is helping with the class decorations.
correct : neither..nor -> Neither Appy nor Aleya is available.
