So let's begin with the second question. How do I form it? we met this since form three. So check the boxes which apply.
Begin with the "yo" form of the verb

We drop the "o"
For "ar" verbs we now add: e, es, e, emos, en. For "er" and "ir" verbs we now add: a, as, a, amos, an.
So Miro: mire, mires etc. Como: coma, comas etc.

But what exactly is the Subjunctive?
A tense?

In Spanish you have met the Present, Past in the Indicative mood.
IN Spanish you have met the Imperative mood(commands)
In Spanish you have met the Interrogative mood.
In Spanish you will meet the Conditional mood.
Now, in Spanish, we are doing the Subjunctive mood. Present.

Now let's look at these sentences:
Quiero visitar Argentina: I want to visit Argentina
Quiero que tú visites Argentina. I want you to visit Argentina.
Siento que no puedo venir: I'm sorry that I cannot come.
Siento que Carla no pueda venir: I'm sorry that Carla cannot come.

What do you notice about the second and fourth sentences? "Quiero que tu visites" and "Siento que Carla no pueda venir. "

The Subjunctive mood is used when there are two(2) clauses and the subject of the verb in the second clause is different from the subject in the main clause. They are usually joined by "que".
Yo quiero(main clause) que Tu visites(second clause)
Yo siento(main clause) que Carla no pueda (second clause)
This is very different from: Yo quiero visitar or Siento que(yo) no puedo venir.
