Eliminating Wrong Answers in a Math HSPT Section

Process of Elimination

• The more answers you are able to cross out, the more likely you are to answer correctly

• Randomly guessing isn't a great strategy, but the process of elimination is one of the best strategies you can use!

Timing

• On the first math section, you want to spend about 30 seconds on every question

• On the second math section, you want to spend about 40 sections on every question

• Any question that looks like it may take a while, pick an answer for now and star it to come back later if you have time!

• Don't leave ANY questions blank, no matter what!
