ZOOM MEETING ETIQUETTE 😀

  • Have everything ready ahead of time: Use restroom, get a drink etc before your zoom starts. Headphones or earbuds are great tools.

    2. Be on Time: Try to get on a few minutes early to make sure your device is working properly.

3. Be Presentable: Change into school appropriate clothes; be ready for the day. This is a class and needs to be treated like you were in the classroom.

4. Find a quiet spot in your house away from distractions: Your teacher does not want to see your brother running around the house or your dog playing with a ball when they are trying to teach a lesson.

5. Getting Started: Mute your microphone if you aren’t talking, turn on your video, and use your real name. Reserve those fun backgrounds for a zoom with your friends. These make it hard to see you and are distracting.

6.Stay in one Spot: This is a class and should be treated as such. Position yourself in front of a solid wall to minimize distractions.

7. Be respectful: Do not eat or drink (please avoid these when using a school chromebook). Wait your turn. Show good manners. Don’t walk or move around with your device. Raise your hand and wait for your teacher to call on you. Only post chat messages relevant to the lessons.
