Using three captal letters : in the figure shown here , the angle formed is   $\angle$ AOB or   $\angle$  BOA 

The name of the vertex of an angle is always written at the centre

USING ONE CAPITAL LETTER : FOR EXAMPLE , $\angle$ O  , WHICH IS THE VERTEX OF AN ANGLE .
