Tobe adalah kata kerja batu. Fungsinya adalah sebagai kata penghubung antara subjek dengan predikat. Mungkin kita sudah sangat mengenal dalam bahasa Indonesia istilah-istilah SPOK, bukan? Nah, jika kita mencoba mengartikan To Be  ini dalam bahasa Indonesia, maka To Be  ini mempunyai arti “adalah” atau bahkan tidak memiliki makna apapun. Pasalnya, To Be  dalam bahasa Inggris ya hanya digunakan untuk kata penghubung.
