• Identify the sender of the email

• Identify & Underline the keywords

Plan your response

• Notes are given. Use the notes!

• Decide which style you want to use: formal or in formal

• Formal> Employer

• Informal>Friends, Family

Write!

• Use the appropriate expressions

• Use linkers to connect your ideas: and, because, but, however, because etc

• After you have finished writing, make sure you read your email

• Check names and subject

• Check that you have used all the notes given
