Eg 1. Small angle between hour-hand and minute-hand at 4pm.

  • 4 "big block" = 4 x 30°= 120°

  • 0 "small block" = 0 x 6° = 0°

  • TOTAL = 120° + 0° = 120°

  • try it yourself: 7pm and 10pm

  • 2 "big block" = 2 x 30°= 60°

  • 2.5 "small block" = 2.5 x 6° = 15°

  • TOTAL = 60° + 15° = 75°
