Who were the Quraish ?

The ruling tribe of Mecca at the time of the birth of the Prophet Muḥammad (S)

The Quraish

They were the tribe that the Prophet (S) was from. They called themselves 'Quraish' because they thought that they were the mightiest, the stongest, the toughtest and the best.

Why did they think they were better than everyone else?

Because they were the custodians of the Ka'ba.

They guarded and maintained of the Ka'ba.

Makkah

• Nothing grew in Makka

• So to get food the people would either have to go north to As Sham (Syria)

• Or to the south Yemen.

• They would travel once in the summer and once in the winter

• In the winter they would travel to Yemen

• In the sumer they would travel to Syria

Travelling in the caravan in the desert was very hard.

It was not safe, Its was very dangerous.

But Allah swt put love and respect in others hearts and everyone respected the Quraish.

Why?

Because everyone knew they were the guardians of the Ka'ba.

So Nobody harmed them.

Because of the this.....

The Quraish were not only able to travel once a year, But Twice a year. And also to two foreighn lands easily!

Allah swt Provided the Quraish security

• Safe from Hunger

• Safe from Fear in the journey

• Allah granted them the respect.

• Yet, they forgot Allah and worshiped their idols?

What is the lesson in this surah for us?

Whatever blessings we have in our lives, and we have Many!, we should be grateful to the Allah swt, because it was Allah swt who gave it to us. Never forget !
