OUR ANCESTORS
There was a time when we were all apes. Once we came on the ground, we didn't need our tails. Our tail grew shorter and shorter and soon dissapeared. Our tail was right in place of our tail bone.

Fins or Flippers
Animals that live underwater have fins or fippers. They help them swim in water and navigate.

Movement of Snails
Snails use a foot and mucus to move on land.

Hibernation
Some animals like bears, skunks, bees, bats and ground squirells hibernate at different times. Hibernation is being asleep for a really long period of time.

Most mammals have whiskers.

The smallest animal
There are many small animals like hamsters, ants, humming birds, rats and mice. The smallest animals are amoeba. We need a microscope to see them.

Vultures
Vultures are scavengers. They feed on dead animals. They prevent the spread of diseases, as they feed on dead bodies and stop the germs growing on them from spreading.
