Using the Ruler

  • Place the object at the edge of the ruler. It should line up with the large cm line

  • Determine the nearest mark at the opposite edge of the object. It is does not line up to the whole number, then count the little lines.

  • Your answer will be in the form of a decimal. The whole number will come first, then the decimal point followed by the number of millimeters.
