What is a THEME of the story?

• An idea or message explored in a piece of writing, artwork or film

• Themes paint a picture of emotion for the readers

What is a Theme?

• A theme can show us feelings, how we treat each other or show us a big idea about the world within the story.

• the theme of a story is that you should get to know people before you judge.

• You have to look and search for the theme

• The theme of a story will not be told in most stories, so you will have to read and listen for clues for the theme of a story.

How do you find the them of a story?

Once you are reading through the story, you will look for clues from the story. Clues like where the characters are from, what does the character do for a living, what is happening to the character in the story.

What is a PLOT of the story?

the plot is all of the events that happens in the story.

How do you find the theme of a story?

Looking for the CONFLICT in the story will help you find the theme of the story.

a Conflict is a PROBLEM
