1. Hindsight is 20/20. This saying means that you can see clearly when you look back at the past to understand your mistakes. You know the results of World War II. What irony is present in the Jewish response about the German soldiers who have entered Sighet?
It is situational irony because no one expected the German soldiers to hurt them.
It is dramatic irony because we know that the German soldiers are going to hurt the Jewish people, but the people of Sighet don't believe it because they are acting nice.
It is not ironic at all
It is verbal irony because the Jewish people don't mean what they say.

Why do you think they were made to wait for so long in the street, without water, standing up and sitting down, doing roll call over and over again?
The Germans are trying to wear them down, to torment them so that no one will fight back.
The Germans keep forgetting to write down how many people there are so they have to keep counting over again.
They are actually playing a game and when they lose they have to stand up and get counted again.

Poll
Notice here that it is the Hungarian Police who are doing this to the Jewish people, not the German soldiers. What does this show you about discrimination when you think about the treatment of Jewish people during the Holocaust? (You can choose more than one)
The German soldiers weren't the only ones who discriminated against the Jewish people.
There were many people who could have tried to help the Jewish people but they did nothing.
This is similar to the police attacking peaceful protestors at BLM marches.
This doesn't relate to discrimination in my opinion
