Gelecek zaman kalıbıdır.

-ecek / -acak anlamındadır.

Önceden tasarlanmış, planlanmış bir durumdan söz ediyorsak kullanırız. (prior plan)

''be'' yardımcı fiili am /is /are şeklinde yazılır.

E.g. : - Why have you bought this material ?

- I 'm going to make a skirt for myself. (kendim için bir etek yapacağım)

Eğerbir olayın olacağına ilişkin belirtiler varsa '' be going to '' kullanılır.

>> The sky is black. It's going to rain.

>> There is a lot of blossom on the trees this spring. We are going to have a good crop.( iyi mahsul alacağız)

>> Look ! she is pregnant. She is going to have a baby. ( O hamile. Bir bebeği olacak.)
