What is Atomic Structure?
All atoms are made of three parts known as protons, neutrons and electrons. Everything is made from an atom. An atom is a tiny particle that cannot be seen by the eye. A special microscope must be used to see it. An atom has four basic parts: a nucleus, protons, neutrons, and electrons. The protons and neutrons and neutrons stick together in the center called the nucleus. The electrons move around outside the nucleus. Atoms are constantly moving. Two or more atoms can combine to form a molecule.
