The Sniper's Nest
Co workers that had been on the 6th floor testified these boxes were not like this earlier in the morning.
One coworker went up at 12:15 and saw the boxes but he did not see Oswald.
Oswald’s palm print and fingerprint were found on one of the boxes.
10
The Physical Evidence
The brown paper bag Oswald carried into TSD was found in the TSD.
.
Oswald’s fingerprint and palm print were found on the paper bag
No curtain rods were ever found in the TSD building.
11
Manlicher Carcano
This is an Italian WWII infantry weapon with an accuracy range of 1,000 Meters.
This rifle was found on the 6th Floor of the Texas School Depository Building.
Oswald’s PALM PRINT WAS FOUND ON THE RIFLE.
12
Facts about this rifle
Ronald Simmons, of the Army's Ballistics Research Laboratory, bench tested Oswald's rifle for the Warren Commission, and found the dispersion to be .29 mils — a figure typical for high-powered rifles — He described it as "quite accurate.”
This is further supported by author Larry Sturdivan (THE JFK MYTHS – A SCIENTIFIC INVETSTIGATION OF THE KENNEDY ASSASSINATION.) “The rifle Oswald purchased was accurate, lethal, and well suited for the job.”
13
More about the rifle
The Movie JFK and conspiracy author Mark Lane claim the rifle was “crude, dangerous, and inaccurate.” This is a false.
Tests conducted by The HSCA, as well as documentaries on CBS television, ABC television, the Discovery Channel, the History Channel and The National Geographic Channel have proven this rifle was not inaccurate.
14
How do we know this was Oswald's rifle?
The serial number on the gun was C2766. The FBI traced this number to the Firearms Company in NY.
A copy of the purchase order obtained by FBI had the name Alek Hidell on it.
15
Open Ended
Where have we heard the name Alek Hidell before?
16
17
The Picture
In Ruth Paine’s garage, detectives found 2 negatives and 2 snapshot pictures of Oswald holding a rifle identical to the one found on at the TSD.
Oswald’s wife told detectives her husband owned the rifle and that she took this picture.
Ruth Paine also verified Oswald owned the rifle
18
More about the picture
Conspiracy theorists claim the famous "backyard photo" of Lee Harvey Oswald, is a fake — a claim that Oswald himself made when he was arrested.
Dartmouth college used 3D imaging technology to analyze key details of the photo, including Oswald's pose, and found that the photo is NOT a fake.
"Our detailed analysis of Oswald's pose, the lighting and shadows, and the rifle in his hands refutes the argument of photo tampering," said Hany Farid, the study's senior author.
19
Further evidence linking Oswald to the rifle
Detectives found a page torn from a magazine advertising weapons.
A Manlicher Carcano rifle was circled.
FBI handwriting experts established the writing on the mail order form for the rifle with serial number C2766 was a perfect match to Oswald’s handwriting.
Handwriting analysis experts working for the US Treasury department reached the same conclusion.
20
More evidence
Cloth fibers found in a crevice between the rifle butt and the stock of the rifle perfectly matched those on the shirt worn by Oswald that day.
This proves Oswald held that rifle on November 22nd 1963.
21
The bullet that hit JFK and Governor Connally
The bullet was recovered on a stretcher at Parkland Hospital.
Ballistics tests proved it was a perfect match to the Manlicher Carcano Rifle to the exclusion of ALL OTHER WEAPONS.
22
Bullet fragments found in the presidential limousine perfectly matched a bullet fired from the rifle found at the TSD, to the exclusion of ALL OTHER WEAPONS.
23
This means no other rifle could have shot those bullets.
24
What does all this mean?
The bullet that hit Kennedy and Governor Connelly came from a rifle owned by Lee Harvey Oswald. There is NOT DOUBT ABOUT IT!
25
Multiple Choice
Before November 22nd 1963, Oswald tried to kill someone else using the same rifle
TRUE - he admitted doing this to his wife
False - he would have to be foolish to have done this
26
Before he killed JFK
Oswald tried to assassinate General Walker, an outspoken anti-communist.
Oswald’s wife Marina told authorities Lee admitted this to her.
A bullet recovered from Walker’s house was a match to the rifle found at the TSD. That rifle belonged to Oswald.
27
Closing Arguments
53 PIECES OF EVIDENCE LINK OSWALD TO THE MURDER OF JFK AND OFFICER TIPPIT. Ballistics tests matched the rifle found at the TSD to cartridge shells, bullet fragments and the Magic bullet.
This rifle killed JFK. There is no doubt of this.
28
Multiple Choice
Oswald owned the rifle found on the 6th floor of the TSD? This is proven by which of the following?
Handwriting experts matching his signature to the purchase order form.
There is a picture of him holding it.
His wife’s saying he owned the rifle and she took the picture of him holding it.
All of the above
29
Final Summation
He had motive, means, opportunity, no alibi!
Only worker not accounted for at TSD
His fingerprint and/or palm print were found on the rifle, boxes, and paper bag
This places Oswald at the scene of the crime, and proves he handled the weapon used to kill the president.
Witnesses placed Oswald at the scene of the crime.
Curtain Rods - Need I say more?
Oswald exhibited “bizarre” behavior after shooting, including the cold blooded murder of a policeman.
30
The Pieces Fit
Oswald went to Ruth Paine’s House on a Thursday – Why?
To beg Marina to take him back. She refused.
Going there gave him access to his rifle
Oswald left $170 and his wedding ring on a dresser in Marina’s bedroom – Why? (he knew he was never coming back)
Oswald carried a paper bag into the TSD on the morning of November 22, 1963. Why? (to conceal the rifle.)
31
32
The Pieces Fit
Oswald did not ask the police officer that confronted him at the TSD why he was being confronted.
Oswald did not ask anyone in Dealey Plaza what was going on despite the hysteria of the moment.
Oswald shot and killed Officer Tippit later that day. Afterward, Oswald hid in the front entryway of a shoe store as police cars raced by.
Oswald snuck into a theater, and when approached by police tried to shoot them and yelled “It’s all over now!”
Yes, Lee Harvey Oswald, it is over.
You are guilty as sin. The prosecution rests!
33

I find the defendant GUILTY
I found the defendant NOT GUILTY
