Find the factors of the following numbers.

1) 10

2) 12

3) 6

Outcome.

1) 10 - 1, 2, 5, ( 10 ) - add 1+2+5=8

8 is less than 10 therefore 10 is a deficient number.

2) 12 - 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, (12) - add 1+2+3+4+6=15

these factors add up to more than 12, so we call 12 an abundant number.

3) 6 - 1, 2, 3, ( 6 ) - add 1+2+3=6

These factors add up to 6 therefore 6 is a perfect number.
