Area

Our first lesson will be area, area is a way to measure something with meters, inches, units, feet, yards and so on. Area is where you have to find out what the area is in a rectangle or square. For example if i got a new dog, and i want him to have a play house that is 7 ft long and 6 ft wide. What is my area? Well we can find out using multiplication. And some of you may know multiplication so you can use it to find the answer on the next slide, but if you do not just skip the first question and on slide 6 you can learn multiplication, then come back to the first question and answer it using multiplication. By the way, each lesson has 3 questions.

multiplication

Now after this lesson go back and do the area questions. Now multiplication is were you skip count, for example, 5x(times)5=?

well this is how we can solve lets skip count! 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and there is your answer, all you need to do is skip count!

Division

Great job so far, this is the last math lesson of your quiz, DIVISION! This the opposite of multiplication. You start with the big number and go to the smaller number like subtraction. for example, 24 divided by 6=???. What we can do to solve is use equal groups to find our answer. lets split 24 into 6 groups. Next count how many you have in each group. THAT IS IT! The answer is 4. Now go answer the 3 questions!
