Remember that the Southeast part of the United States is connected to two large bodies of water - The Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. It also has lots of rivers.

Water Activities

Many of their recreation, or fun activities, involve water. Some of these include fishing and boating.

Southerners also use water for transportation. Transportation means to go from one place to another. Miami, which is a city in Florida, is home to many cruise ships. Millions of people get on cruise ships in Miami every year.
