• Pluralul substantivelor in engleza se realizeaza adaugand „s” la finalul cuvantului:

• EG: a/one bird

• tow birds

2:

• Substantivele terminate in s/ss/sh/ch/x/o , adauga la plural „es”:

• EG: one box

• tow boxes

• ! Exceptie: radio , piano , photo , video + es

3:

• Substantivele terminate in consoana si „y” transformau y=i apoi adauga „es”:

• EG: baby , cherry

• babies , cherries

• ! boy-boys pentru ca este vocala+y

4:

• Substantivele terminate in „f si fe” se transforma f=v apoi adauga „es”:

• EG: leaf-leaves

• ! cliff si girafe + „es”

5:

• Substantivele neregulate au forme speciale la plural:

• mouse/mice , man/men , persone/pipole , child/children , sheep/sheep , foot/feet , tooth/theet , woman/women , goose/gees , fish/fish , deer/deer , ox/oxen .
