Ratios

A ratio is a multiplicative comparison of two quantities, which describe the same attribute.

We can write a ratio three different ways.

 $\frac{1}{2}$  , 1:2, 1 to 2

Equivalent Ratios

Ratios that are equivalent and be simplified to the same values.

Example 4:5, 8:10, 12:15

 $\frac{1}{6},\ \frac{2}{12},\ \frac{3}{18}$
