  • The problem in the piedmont is air pollution.

  • Factories, cars, trucks, businesses, and homes put out a lot of smog into the air.

  • The amount of smog and air pollution we have in Atlanta isn’t safe for humans, animals or plants.

Coastal Plains Pollution Problem

  •    One of Georgia’s biggest pollution problems took place on the Ogeechee River in 2011. The King America Finishing textile (cloth making) plant dumped chemicals like formaldehyde, ammonia and hydrogen peroxide into the river. Water pollution is a growing problem for the coastal plains of Georgia.
