Fraction and Ratio
Fraction ( from Latin fractus, “broken” ) represents a part of a whole or more generally, any number of equal parts.
Two Main Parts of a Fraction :
1. Numerator- to the number on the top of the line. - It tells how many equal parts of the whole or collection are taken.
2. Denominator - to the number below the line.
It shows the number of the whole is being divided. It functions as divisor of the numerator.

Ratio is a relationship between two numbers of the same kind. It is a way of comparing two or more quantities having the same units. A ratio can be written in three different ways such as: word form → a is to b colon form → a : b fraction form ( by giving the value of their quotient ) → 𝑎 𝑏 ⁄
