Slope-intercept form of a linear equation.

• y = m(x) + b

• x and y are the values that you'll find on the graph. (0, 2), (2, 4), (4,6) etc.

• m represents the slope (rise over run) of the line.

• b represents the y-intercept. The y-value where the graph intersects (crosses) the y-axis.

• y = 2x + 4, slope is 2 and y-intercept is 4.
