  • This is because the Asian part of Russia is also known as Siberia, and Siberia has harsh living conditions including:

  • permafrost, which makes farming hard, contructing roads hard, and building houses hard

  • cold clumate

  • endless forests and marshes

  • they allow russia to extract their raw materials/natural resources from siberia, and bring them to the city to use and make things out of it to sell

  • Russia is huge, and so cars are unpractical
