think more deeply how to identify important text and we'll use that skill with Michelle Obama's speech.

Not all evidence is created equal!

When you analyze an argument and evaluate evidence, it is important to identify the most important ideas and evidence within the argument. We are going to look for text features that give us clues about text importance. Identifying the most important ideas in a text helps us think about what we want to learn and remember.
