Locations: Where's (the) ...?

• The bank is across (the street) from the museum.

• The Museum is down/up the street.

• The pharmacy is around the corner.

• The school is on the right

• The museum is on the left.

• The bank is next to the school.

• The bank is between the school and the bookstore.

Preposition ON

• On Grand Street.

• On Lincoln Avenue.

• On the corner of Grand Street and Lincoln Avenue.

Directions: How do I get to ...?

• Go out of the hotel.

• Turn right on Main Street.

• Turn left on Lincoln Avenue.

• Walk one block.

• Go/Walk down Grand Street.

• Go/Walk to the corner of Grand Street and Long Avenue.

• Get across Long Avenue.

Example

Go out of the national library and turn right. Walk to the corner and turn left on Main Street. Walk one block, go across the street and go down Main Street.

The restaurant is on the right, next to Richmond hotel.
