  • Life experiences: Have you ever eaten Sushi before?

  • Accomplishments: Man has walked on the moon.

  • Finished actions with present results: She has lost her wallet (she can't find it)

  • Recently completed actions: I have just finished my project

  • Unfinished action (duration from past until now): I have lived in Paris for five years.

  • Multiple actions over time: I have seen Hakim several times.

  • How long? To emphasize duration. He has been living in Paris for 3 years.

  • To focus on the activity, not the result. You look tired. What have you been doing.

  • To describe a temporary state or activity. I have been going to the gym a lot recently.
