Phrases and clauses are words in a sentence that give specific information. / Las frases y cláusulas son palabras en una oración que brindan información específica.
A phrase cannot stand alone in a sentence. It may contain the subject or predicate of a sentence, but never both, and possibly neither. / Una frase no puede estar sola en una oración. Puede contener el sujeto o el predicado de una oración, pero nunca ambos, y posiblemente ninguno.
A clause contains both the subject and the predicate of a sentence. / Una cláusula contiene tanto el sujeto como el predicado de una oración.
