It is a statement that is true and can be verified objectively, or proven. It can be observed or measured through researches and studies.

What is an Opinion?
It is a statement that is based on your own feeling, thinking, and judgement. Others may agree or disagree with an opinion but they cannot prove or disapprove it.

Now that you are already familiar and you have an idea what is a fact and what is an opinion, let us play a little game.
Identify whether the following statements to be presented are either a fact or an opinion.
Make sure you are able to explain your answers. I will be randomly calling a student to justify their answer after each item.
