SUPERLATIVE DEGREE

(TINGKATAN PALING)

Superlative degree is used to compare two or more people or things with another one.

(Superlative degre digunakan untuk membandingkan dua orang/benda atau lebih dengan satu hal.)

Examples:

• Mercury is the smallest planet in our solar system. (Planet Merkurius adalah planet terkecil di tata surya kita)

• Mercury is the nearest planet to the sun. (Planet Merkurius adalah planet terdekat dengan matahari)

• The largest planet is Jupiter. (Planet terbesar adalah planet Jupiter)

Pay attention to the following words. (Perhatikan kata-kata berikut!)

Cara membentuk kata bentuk Superlative Degree untuk kata sifat dengan satu suku kata:

Adjective (Kata sifat) + -est
