In German, reflexive verbs are usually identified by the reflexive pronoun sich.

sich means oneself in English and will come before the infinitive verb

The reflexive pronoun refers to a person who is both the subject and the object of the sentence.

When the reflexive pronoun is used as a direct object it appears in the accusative case.
