Tectonic Plates
Plate Tectonics is the theory that the Earth’s crust is divided into different plates (like puzzle pieces) that glide over the upper mantle, more specifically the asthenosphere. The asthenosphere has a plastic-like consistency (think about slime) and this consistency allows for the rigid plates to move.
