Dawn Fraser
Dawn Fraser was a famous swimmer. In three Olympics, Dawn Fraser won four gold and four silver medals. This is her story.
Dawn was the youngest child in her family. She had eight brothers and sisters. She was born in Sydney, in Australia. Dawn wanted to learn to swim. When she was a child, Dawn often had asthma and could not breathe well but this did not stop her. She went to the swimming pool every day and learnt to swim. She practiced and practiced.

Soon she started swimming again. She swam for Australia in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and won another gold medal! She said that this medal was for her mother and father.
