• sein is one of the most useful verbs in the German language, but it's also the most irregular verb

How do you conjugate sein?

• ich bin (I am)

• du bist (you familiar are)

• er/sie/es ist (he/she/it is)

• wir sind (we are)

• ihr seid (you all are)

• Sie sind (you formal are)

• sie sind (they are)

Remember

German has 3 forms of you:

We use du when talking to one other person that we know (children, family members, friends)

We use ihr when talking to multiple people that we know

We use Sie (with a capital "S") when talking to an individual or multiple people that we want to show respect to OR that we don't know (professionals, strangers, etc.)
