Y11 Rearranging Formula

Today I thought we would look at rearranging 'harder' formula, where the letter appears more than once, so you have to factorise (see picture)

Harder rearranging

Write this example down if you want to, but all need to watch the video on the next slide.


As you can see in the answer from the picture, you have to expand, rearrange, and then factorise the 'y' because there is more than one and you want 'y' on its own.
