What is a revolution?
An attempt to overthrow or bring change to a government
The colonists were NOT happy with King George's government, so they decided to change it and start their own.
Hence, the American revolution.

* King George decided to tax the colonists after the French and Indian War because the war cost SO much money.
*The colonists cried "No taxation without representation!" Meaning, they were angry because King George didn't give them any say so in the taxes.

*When King George started the Townshend Acts (tax on paper, paint, etc) and the Stamp Act, the colonists were furious and decided to protest and boycott so KG would repeal (remove) the taxes.
